I spent New Years Eve in Puerto Rico this year and it was a lovely experience, I definitely want to go back and explore more of this beautiful island. Above is a shot of Condado Beach, a popular stretch of sand where you can rent beach chairs and easily walk to food and convenience stores.
We stayed in a great Airbnb, above on the right is our backyard. It was our own little slice of paradise for the week.
One of my favorite days was the one we spent touring Old San Juan, the architecture and historic sites were beautiful. Below is the Cementerio Santa María Magdalena de Pazzis, built in 1863 it overlooks the ocean and is filled with ornate tombstones.
Located just outside San Juan, in the Carolina district is Isla Verde which was the best beach we visited. The water was calm, clear and that perfect shade of Caribbean blue. We also had our best meal in Isla Verde at Metropol, recommended to us by a friend of Akil’s, the food was outstanding.
