I love slides and wear them almost daily in the warmer months. Like sneakers, and most pieces I feature in BASICS posts, slides work perfectly with everything from dresses to jeans, and suit all occasions. Maybe I shouldn’t admit this as I’m a ‘fashion person’, and it’s commonly looked down upon to dress for comfort, but comfort is a huge factor for me. I’m on my feet all day for work and well, enjoy being comfortable. So I love a stylish flat shoe option, especially one that can go into evening wear (example here and here). Available in such a wide variety of styles (embellished, flat, platform, etc) it was difficult to select a few pairs to feature, so I kept it to styles I think would be great staples for a variety of lifestyles and price points.
